In an exciting twist to the dramatic life of the Palins reports have surfaced that Bristol Palin, daughter of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, stole her baby daddy Levi Johnston from her former best friend, Lanesia Garcia.
According to the Garcia her and Johnston had been seeing each other for 3 years before rumors began to circulate that he had been cheating on her. Palin advised her friend to dump him, which she did, only to watch Palin take Johnston for herself soon after.
If you ask me, this is not news. But, alas, it is for the mass media. The country as a whole eats up stories like this. But many, many people base their votes on irrelevant issues like these. But do we really need to know these personal details about our leaders? Will the fact that Obama smoked pot and snorted coke in college or that McCain left his first wife after she was badly injured in a car accident really affect their respective plans to end the war?
In my humble opinion people should really just listen to the important issues, everyone has skeletons in their closet and politics is like a x-ray machine.

You have a very good point. These issues shouldn't have anything to do with the election, however most people base there votes on character. They want to know who is the most perfect, not realizing that no one is and everyone has there dirt. Wow I didn't know about those issues you just commented about with MCcain and Obama, does that make you like the rest of the media?
I agree that people really should not base their votes on a candidate's family or past issues. Everyone makes mistakes, and it definitely should be based upon character.
I totally agree with you about this not being news. Honestly, I don't care anything about Sarah or Bristol Palin personal life. What they do in there personal life is their own business. Everybody has some dirt to hide no matter who we are. We all have done things that we are not proud of so our votes should not be based on news of their personal life.
I don't agree. The media has every right to report on anything they feel. This shows plainly to me that The Palin family has no family morals which the GOP bases most of it's viewpoints on. Does that not matter to anyone but me? If Sarah Palin did not want her dirty laundry aired out then she should have done a better job of hiding it or maybe...not be bad role models? When Britney Spear's little sister got pregnant, she was called several bad names by the media and her family was torn a new one. Compared to Miss Spears, Bristol was let off easy. And yes, the whole McCain leaving his wife after she waited for him when he was a POW. That sickens me! I do not respect him for that. I guess I don't matter though because I am a Democrat. I also think that drugs and even smoking are personal weaknesses. Obama stopped though, he is strong enough to quit. Doesn't that show strength and learning? Cocaine is one hell of a drug. LOL
Even though I do not support Sarah Palin, I don think this issue of her daughter's pregnancy needs to be left out or her campaign. The more important issue is why she believes women should not have the right to have a abortion; including cases of rape or incest. Our government should be secular and not influenced by any religious beliefs. Separation of church and state. She doesn't agree I guess.
More on topic though this is something the media will eat up similar to Bill Clinton's sex scandal.
I think that people should still have their own privacy especially when it comes to family. I know that when your running for President, or VP that all becomes public but it bothers me a little to see that her pregnant daughter is becoming the biggest part of this election.
The Presidential election always has more to do with character, or status then the actual issues at hand I believe. I think people are obviously more interested in Sarah Palin's daughters pregnancy then issues like our countries funding and the war in Iraq. Its funny how people loose sight of whats important.
I hate this! Topics like these always get brought into Presidential elections, and it really does bother me along with a lot of other people i know! I do believe that some family and personal issues are important to the debate but not all stupid topics that are brought up. Ex. Palins pregnant teenage daughter.
I dont think these issues are of much importance. It always annoys me when topics like this get brought up, because what does it really matter?! It doesnt, no one is perfect so theres no point in wasting valuable time reporting on it in my opinion.
